Olive Eggers are an exciting breed of chickens that typically lay various shades of olive colored eggs. They are created by crossing a dark brown egg layer with a blue egg layer. We are experimenting with different breeding programs to offer a variety of chicks!
Our Olive Eggers were created by crossing some of our foundation stock of Cream Legbars, Black Copper Marans, Welsummers, and Blue Ameraucanas. Our Olive Eggers will lay an olive-shade egg, varying from lighter olive to very dark "army green." For genetics lovers, the reason for that is our flock is a combination of F3s - F6s.
You may receive some chicks from each breeding program if you order multiple chicks, and you are not able to specify from which breeding program your chicks will originate. You will be delighted by the varied color patterns of these chicks and their beautiful and plentiful eggs.

We take pride in the health and care of our birds. Our birds are feed Organic all natural non gmo feed and are pasture raised to ensure they have time to roam around. Eggs are not washed prior to shipment so please expect some surface dirt and poop.
    Payment is due
    IMMEDIATELY
because of the time constraints with fertile eggs. To keep our fertility percentages as high as possible, we like to ship our eggs out within two days of collection, if possible. However, we only ship eggs Monday through Thursday (depending on your location). If your order is placed Friday through Sunday please expect shipment to happen on the following Monday to ensure the freshest eggs are collected and do not have to sit at the USPS in an uncontrolled environment.
Shipping and handling is for packaging materials, postage and our time packing the eggs. We ship eggs in foam inserts and bubble wrap them. The eggs are then completely double boxed. . All boxes are NOT labeled FRAGILE on each side and on the top. Please note, shipping time depends on where you live compared to where the item is shipped from. We are located in Southern California  and usually all shipments are received within a maximum of 3 days. All eggs are shipped via USPS Priority Mail.
Please allow your eggs to rest for at least 12 hours, pointed end down after unwrapping them before placing them in the incubator. This will let the air sack to settle back into place after shipment.
Please remember the above information when leaving feedback. Feedback should be left upon arrival of your eggs and not after your eggs hatch. There are too many variables that affect the viability of the eggs once they leave our hands. Just because your eggs do not hatch does not mean they are not fertile. Exposure to extreme temperatures, rough handling during shipping, differences in incubating practices, and other issues all can affect hatching eggs. If you have any concerns about your eggs, please message us before leaving neutral or negative feedback so we have the opportunity to rectify any issues.
Please be aware shipped eggs can be a risk before bidding. I do not offer refunds, accept returns or ship free replacement eggs. If you cannot accept the risk associated with shipped eggs, please consider buying live chicks from a hatchery. Please be sure you agree to these terms before bidding.
I get a good hatch here on the farm but cannot guarantee your hatch rate due to postal handling, incubating methods, etc. Please leave feedback

Our eggs are collected daily and shipped no more than 3 days after they're laid. Collected eggs are stored separately and properly to ensure freshness and improve viability.
We recommend purchasing twice as many eggs as you want chicks if you're hoping to get hens. Statistically, your hatch should yield 50% Males and 50% Females. We also recommend purchasing a few extra to increase your likelihood of hatching your ideal number of chicks. Although we're able to hatch at 90+%, most people are happy if they get 50%. The longer an egg waits to be incubated the less likely it is to develop a chick. The traveling and the handling that the eggs will endure before making it into an incubator will play a factor into their hatch rate. It's best to set your eggs as soon as you receive them. If you're not able to set them right away be sure to store your eggs in a cool location out of direct sunlight. Room temperature of stored eggs should be 60ºF.
We offer two shipping methods through the post office just as we do with day-old chicks: Priority and Priority Express. We always recommend Priority Express for a quicker delivery, but realize it can be more cost effective to ship standard Priority. Eggs will ship Monday through Wednesday so they're guaranteed to reach their destination before post offices close on Sunday.
Although we will guarantee your eggs arrive intact and ready for incubation, we cannot guarantee your hatch rate. There are multiple factors in the shipping of fertile eggs that are just simply out of our control. Even if the outside of an egg is completely intact and seemingly ok, handling by the post office can damage them enough that they do not hatch. The internal arrangements of chicken eggs are relatively delicate and can be disturbed enough that they do not hatch. Your incubation conditions are also beyond our control. Eggs will not develop chicks unless exact incubation conditions of temperature and humidity are met
Shipping eggs is a risk, if you can not handle the risk please do not buy.
No refunds, Not responsible for USPS. Only ship to lower states. Paypal
