This order is for 50% celadon eggs and 50% snow eggs.
What makes our celadon birds different?
For starters, we have vetted our males. Vetted means we’ve taken blue eggs from recessive females and mated them with one male, hatched those eggs, and raised those chicks to adulthood to ensure they lay blue eggs also (matching recessive female to recessive male) creating a 100% blue egg layer rate. So unlike other hatcheries, your females will lay blue eggs. Second, we specialize in tuxedo celadon quail which means only beautiful tuxedo blue egg laying females make it into our breeding program. Third, we are a very small mom and pop outfit, our birds are basically our pets and completely spoiled (watermelon treats and all).
Eggs and Fertility
Our eggs are gathered as soon as they are laid, in the evening, and stored properly (skinny end down, rotated, unwashed, 50 degree temperature) for freshness and viability. Our fertility rate is currently 98%.
Hatchability
We have had customers with hatch rates as high as 98% and as low as 13%.Hatching is part science and part art.  Incubation requires a precise, clean, and temperature controlled environment and is not easy by any means. Please note that most shipped eggs have a 50% hatchability rate due to the shipping process, it's very hard on the eggs. Please do not leave feedback based on your hatch rates as we have no control over the incubation process.
Shipping
You will be notified when your eggs have shipped and a tracking number will be provided. We do not monitor weather in destination citifies, please be advised that if it is too cold/hot where you live, we suggest you wait to order until the weather in your area is more reasonable. By buying our eggs, you are saying that you're okay with that risk. We will not ship to destinations outside the 50 states.
Returns
If you wish to return an order, please return all eggs back in their original packaging (at our cost). Thank you!
