1921 George Steck Upright Piano Duo Art Full Reproducer Not Restored Complete. I have owned this piano since 1965. I have verified the SN with year of manufacturer 1921. The player worked up through the 80's, and stayed in my parents house till I brought it to my home 11 years ago. I have had it tuned a couple of times. All the notes still play and it keeps a reasonable tune. It is completely original other than having the hammers shaved and the straps replaced in the 70's. The tubing is dry rotted but you can still see where it goes, AND you can still get diagrams for it. Here's the deal, I have three pianos and a number of antiques, it needs to go to someone who wants to restore it. I have some Duo Art rolls, but that's a different auction, if this sells. It is totally complete as from factory. Send the Piano movers, its in a walk out basement and I have had a few pianos up and out. I'm starting at 9.21 because it is a good, unique project. If no one buys it, I will pull the air rail and all the unique Duo Art pieces out of it, put them in a box and will upgrade my working Schubert Player to a Duo Art when I retire. It's OK. I can live with it going to heaven as long as I keep the player special parts. Happy bidding and considering saving my old companion.
