2 Antique GLA Bookend Trays Bird Eagle Book Arrow Ancient Grand Lodge Fraternal

Description

Set of two Antique or Vintage GLA Cast Metal Bookends or Card Trays featuring a Bird (possibly an Eagle) carrying a Book in its talons set over an arrow head, with the initials G L A in the three corners. Possibly from a Fraternal organization like the Ancient Grand Lodge of England, Freemasons, or Odd Fellows, but I don't know for sure really what the design represents.
They are about 5 inches tall, 5 1/2 inches wide, and 2 1/2 inches deep. They weigh about 1 pound 9 ounces each. They are in excellent condition, with a lovely patina. There is possibly some light surface rust, or perhaps it's just layers of old dust.
