    Description

Here is a group of three small and neat covers from African countries bearing the full 1937 Coronation omnibus set for Mauritius, Somaliland Protectorate and Swaziland. The
Somaliland Protectorate one is a first-day cover
    and was
sent registered to the unusual destination of Egypt and has two Egyptian backstamps of 23 and 24 May. The
Mauritius cover was sent by registered post on 18 August to England; its registry label is torn. The Swaziland cover was posted on 29 May, also to England.
They bear full sets of these attractive stamps and are cancelled by local handstamp postmarks.
Two are in fine condition, while the Somaliland Protectorate one has a little edge and corner wear from international postal handling and a horizontal fold near the bottom.
The postage costs on this item are higher than I would like and, after leaving them unchanged for several years, I have raised them slightly in line with the 2021 postage rates. British buyers will pay just .40 postage.
As I have some fixed-price items anyone who purchases one of my lots might want to look at them before paying. Additional postage is free for subsequent purchases unless they are too big for my normal very low basic rates. If you are buying more than one item please wait for me to send an invoice so I can combine postage.
When payment for lots won is received by teatime British time (it is usually dished up about 4:30) I normally post the item the next morning. Our village post office is closed on Saturdays, however, so if you pay on Friday the item cannot go out until the following Monday.
