    Description

    Jordan Family Farms
Ayam Cemani Hatching Eggs from Great Quality Birds at JORDAN FAMILY FARMS
Yes Only 5+ eggs. This is why:
These are Extremely rare "Indonesian" gamebird type and not the more prolific "American" type you see everywhere.
We sell hatching eggs and chicks but please do not message me through Ebay for chicks or they will not allow me to reply to your message. Their robots will just tell me I can not reply to your message so you will never get a reply. Ebay is for buying our hatching eggs only.
I have had to delete a lot of my explanation as to the differences in our birds and others due to Ebays policy on not allowing you to compare with other listings. So you will just have to order ours and then see for yourself. We are trying to get the gamebird type bird accepted by the American Poultry Association. Most only offer the production type bird Cemani instead. This is because a few of the breeders that brought in Cemani, when it was still legal to do so, crossed them early on to get better egg production and it changed the bird, and then they tried to get the things back that they lost in the crossing but it just will NEVER get to where it is a gamebird body type again with perfect fibro by crossing this same Crossed genetics to itself. Our birds come from just a few breeders that brought in birds to focus on the bird itself, not trying to change it to lay more eggs or be more production type. Even the purer genetic lines are still being worked on but at least the original birds were purer blooded and more correct as to the Indonesian type.
Do your research and look at the breed standard. A true Ayam Cemani should be slender and stand tall like a game bird and have HARD feathering which looks choppy but not frizzled and not smooth. Should not look like a production body type most US breeders are incorrectly breeding. It should not look like a Svart Hona. Just because someone says theirs has won ribbons does not mean theirs was to the best standard. It just means out of the couple of birds that are there it looked better than the other. Not to mention judges only see this type since there are so many of them out there being bred to make a quick buck. Very few of the actual gamebird type. The breeder association is presently creating the breed standard that will hopefully soon be accepted which is a gamebird type not the production type.
I'm trying to educate people looking to get into the breed as to not buy inferior type birds if they really want to end up with the best in the end, and better the breed here in the US. If you think these eggs are too crazy expensive for you then at least you got my advice for free. :)
Here is pic of correct type:
The 6 eggs will be from my line that is a B line and s
till being worked on but is all tested for and all have the double fibro gene and these are from the non hatchery type lines. These parents are more the Indonesian type birds. Much better stock genetically than anything else you are going to see available for this breed. This flock is all solid black inside mouth, tongue is dark grays with black underneath, black ridge, and black tip, or all black. I do not breed anything that has oyster or light gray coloring in mouth at all. They are mostly black with dark gray or all black in mouth. They have the longer legs, gamebird stance, harder type feathering, and are black inside their vents. So not only is their fibro double they express it very well.
I hatch out chicks so I can choose a few premium chicks to keep improving our flocks with and sell the few others. I have just a few eggs available in between hatching chicks. So you are lucky to have a chance at some of the best Ayam Cemani genetics you can find here in these hatching eggs.
I have bred the "American Type" before and sold eggs from them. Even here on ebay... Many people like the wider body type, smoother feathering and the more eggs you get with the other type but we try now to only stick to what the bird is in Indonesia.
This is what we need to be breeding for as the standard. And soon it will be the accepted BREED STANDARD and then you will be ahead of all those breeders that bred for the production looking body that is not as the bird is in Indonesia. I have lost thousands on buying birds, lost years on breeding them to try to improve them, and I am one of the few that care enough about the breed change corse, rehoming  "American" type birds as pets and proceed with a better standard foundation stock. The American type are still beautiful birds, but I feel something was lost early on in the body type, and fibro expression by crossing them, that no breeder has been able to get back. So do the breed a favor and start with a more "Indonesian" type bird.
Many people selling eggs just buy chicks to raise up and mate for eggs to sell and do not "work" to create the best birds. Most of those are from poor stock that was crossed early on. That is why there are so many substandard flocks out there. No matter what you have heard mulberry toned Roosters should never be in a breeding program. Again, do your research and get an idea of your goal for this breed before jumping in. You are welcome to come visit our farm and see a Quality flocks.
PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE PLACING AN ORDER FOR OUR EGGS.
Look on our website for photos.
I will ship eggs at beginning of week to avoid any weekend mailing delays. If you want  them real soon please message and ask if I have egg orders before yours, before you purchase them. Otherwise it maybe as soon as you pay or a few weeks away, depending on how many have ordered so far. Remember, I'm also hatching chicks so I do not have eggs available every week.
My adult breeders are all as black as can be, 100% double fibro birds with good expression, SEE PICS on my site... ALL top quality birds will have some chicks hatch out that are not as good of quality as their parents. That is a risk you take with eggs. If you are wanting just a few great quality birds you might have better luck just ordering chicks since chicks sold by a reputable breeder are looked over and breeders only sell their best looking chicks. Substandard chicks are usually given away free or homed as mixes.
We are a member of the Ayam Cemani Breeder Association in which you must abide by their by laws and code of conduct and have a good reputation to stay a member of. It is full of helpful info for you. I have acquired my original birds only from the best and it shows in our chicks we produce. Very few breeders have what we have. I am also very selective on what I will breed. I am not just someone that bought chicks from someone and then breeding them for a profit, but I'm only interested in breeding for QUALITY birds. Not every chick will be this same quality but you will have a better chance of top quality by getting from someone who is working on improving their flocks and started with good foundation birds.  I have thousands of dollars I have put into this breed and I will not recoup that money on selling eggs and chicks. This is a hobby and not a way to make tons of money if you are truly doing it to improve the breed.
Some Breeding Advice: Breeder needs to not inbreed their flock but need to have a few smaller flocks of birds and be doing Spiral breeding or bring in a new Rooster every year.
Black color: Fibromelanosis is controlled through gene duplication, test breeding to see who has a double gene, not the presence of a single gene, all black looking but only one copy of gene. If you want quality birds the breeder must first understand Fibro  and also how the gypsy gene if present can hide a non fibro expression. Even when you do all of this you will get some chicks that are not perfect. Fibro displays more as a chick grows and then stops at a certain point and your adult bird will then start to display more gray feathering as it ages, the rule is to watch and try to keep chicks that start with good fibro showing blackest black and then keep that darker tone the longest. This is always a breed in work no matter who you get them from. So best to give yourself the best chance by buying from a breeder that breeds only quality birds closer to what a Cemani in Indonesia is. After you know you have good color genes: In this breed the breeder should make sure none of her stock is short bodied, short legged, and that the Roo's comb is not floppy but stands straight and is a good size, along with all the other factors in a nice bird. I personally am working on a more slender body and straighter combs. You can see the proposed breed standard on the Ayam Cemani Breeders Association site. You can read more info on the breed also on our farm site.
You may have decided to get eggs after looking at how much chicks cost... Hatcheries sell chicks cheaper because they do not look through chicks for quality and sell whatever hatches out, white toes, white feathers, and all. But a good Ayam Cemani breeder will pick out the nicest that hatch to sell and the rest they give away free, so they actually make a lot less than you think on them and this is the same you will see in your own hatches. In general a couple will be keepers and the rest will be culling quality. This goes for absolutely every hatch from even the most top quality birds, but nicer quality breeder birds have more instances of nicer quality chicks hatching.

I CAN NOT guarantee the eggs to hatch. When the eggs are shipped I have no control over how they are handled during the trip, incubated at your home, or other factors that can harm hatchability. I know from my own experience how frustrating it can be to have only a few or even no eggs hatch from shipped eggs I have bought, but the only thing that is the shippers responsibility is that they ship fertile eggs to the best of their knowledge. Fertility should be high in this flock that has 1 Roo over only 5 hens. I also package them very well. Perfectly fertile eggs will not develop or hatch when subjected to rough postal handling, X-rays or incubator mishaps. We do not wash our eggs, and we do not need to, we have a excellent roll away egg box which keeps them perfectly clean. We put them on an egg turner at 60 deg F until they are ready to be packaged and shipped.
Eggs will be no older than 3 days old when shipped and all eggs will be packed securely so you have the best possible chances of hatching. The handling time info on listing says 10 days but it can be as little as same day shipping or as late as a few weeks. It depends how many eggs I'm collecting for my own hatches.
Eggs are individually wrapped and securely packaged to protect against rough handling. Boxes are clearly marked

I will send you a photo of the insurance receipt and payment receipt you may need in case of a claim. All postal claims are made online with USPS claims and not with your local Post Office.
