    Wheaten
    Marans
eggs. The Wheaten marans originated from a small town in France named Marans, as that is where they get their name. They are very rare in this country as only a handful of breeders have them, and they are almost impossible to find. These are from the
    Ron Presley,
    Bayhorsebonne & The Davis
line, Breeders well known for quality Marans. These birds are producing eggs now that range from 6 to 8 on the marans color chart. I will send the darkest eggs available at shipping time. I have added a picture from the beginning of there laying cycle with a white and regular brown eggs for contrast, but as all marans, they will lighten as the laying cycle continues then turn back to the beautiful rich brown after a rest.
The Wheatens are a personal favorite of mine as I think they have the nicest coloring in the feathers then all other marans breeds. They can also be sexed at 5 days old as the females will have tiny brown wing feathers and the males will be black. These birds are quick to mature and produce eggs with proper care and feed. They also make a great duel purpose bird for meat and eggs. The hens have a mature weight of around 7 to 9 lbs. and the roosters at 10 to 12lbs. They are a very eye catching addition to any flock. All of our flocks are N.P.I.P. Certified, our certification # is KY-189. All of our Marans are bred to the french standard (feathered legs etc.). If for any reason I can not fill your order in the amount of  time specified you will be given the option of a full refund or waiting a couple of extra days.
Here are some comments from other buyers:
My incubator has had a 100% hatch rate. I can brag because my son and I made it. And it has hatched out clutch after clutch and has NEVER had an egg not hatch. But these were my owned BBS Ameraucanas. I really thought ordering eggs off
    eBay
was going to ruin our bragging rights, even though I would have an excuse.
You sent me 10 eggs. I candled them at day 3 and again at day 4... they glow red! LOL! How do you see veins in red eggs???? LOL!
I asked the marans list what to do and they told me to wait for the air sac on day 8. OK...
I have no patience. I candle my eggs almost daily, and yes 100% hatch rate.LOL!
So I got them out this morning to candle them and about jumped for joy. There is a shadow in EVERY SINGLE EGG you sent us! All 10 have babies moving in them!!! I LOVE MY INCUBATOR!!! LOL!
Thanks Thanks Thanks and I am keeping an eye on your blue coppers!! But not till the little hand made incubator has room again!!! :o)

    Hey, David:
I have a good sized poultry and waterfowl operation, and I therefore buy a lot of hatching eggs each season.  In fact, I've probably already received more than 60 orders of eggs from various suppliers.
First off, I want you to know that of all the eggs I've purchased this year, your eggs are superior.  My hatch rate has been consistently between 97 to 100 percent with every batch of your eggs I've hatched.  Also, your Black Copper Maran eggs have been larger than others I've seen, as well as uniform in shape, size and shell texture.  Of all the eggs I've bought from you, I've never received a cracked, broken, or badly soiled egg.  In fact, they are always perfectly packed and each shipment includes some extras.
And, once those beautiful eggs hatch, the chicks are even more impressive.  Every chick has been robust, healthy, and full of vigor and vitality.
In fact, of all the chickens that I've hatched and owned, I'm most proud of the ones I've hatched from your superior line of Black Copper Marans.  Therefore, I thought I should write you a note and let you know how pleased I truly am.  It's inspiring to me when I find knowledgeable, experienced breeders like you who take such pride in their work.  There's no doubt in my mind that top quality eggs and customer satisfaction are of utmost importance to you!  When I experience a consistent hatch rate higher than 95 percent, and I hatch such lively, healthy, beautiful chicks, I know without reservation that my egg provider owns and breeds an exceptional flock of chickens.  No doubt, you will see me again and again, David, because I am extremely happy and proud of the quality eggs you consistently ship to me.
So, I just want you to know how much I appreciate all of the hard work you put into producing one of the best flocks of Black Copper Maran chickens I've ever seen!
    Thanks again,

If you need any help, I will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
    TER
    MS & SHIPPING
Although fertility has been in the 85 to 95% range, I cannot guarantee your success. If you win one of my auctions the eggs will be individually wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in news paper and packing peanuts, I lay the eggs on there side as that is the natural way for them to rest and if the box gets turned upside down during shipping they are still in a natural state.
Any questions or special request need to be made before you bid.
I will send you fresh and fertile eggs no more than three days old at end of auction, my eggs are collected 2 to 3 times a day, turned twice a day and kept in a climate controlled room.  Once the eggs are in postal care my responsibility is over. There are too many factors between my farm and your residence such as postal handling, weather, human error, the occasional x-ray machine, incubation practices etc. Hatching eggs are a gamble no matter who you get them from and shipping can damage them internally enough to keep them from developing even though no damage can be seen by the eye. Once again I don't make any guarantees for any hatch rates. Feedback needs to be left on the basis of quality of the eggs on arrival and packing. I will combine shipping on any two orders that sell in the same night for a to shipping discount, depending on how far away you are as long as they don't exceed 20 eggs. If shipping over the weekend is a concern, then you should not bid on any of my auctions that end on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, as I do ship Mon thru Friday to insure the freshest eggs possible. I myself have had eggs shipped over a weekend to me and I had just as good hatches with them as any that would have shipped on a Monday, but some folks  have the belief that that effects the hatch rate.
The eggs should reach you within two to three shipping days (USPS says priority shipping can take up to five days) once they are in the mail, but the postal service has had its share of problems lately. So if they do arrive late or get lost in the mail it is the buyers responsibility to file a claim with the Postal Service. As you will have up to in insurance on the product by using priority mail.
This is NOT A PRESALE, I accept PAYPAL ONLY. Payment needs to be made at auctions end, so your eggs can ship as soon as possible, usually the next day, but in some rare cases two days. According to
EBAY I have to accept E-Checks, but remember, if you pay with an e-check or if you pay late, you will still receive the same eggs that are earmarked for this auction, an e-check will take too long to clear and that will render the eggs infertile and I don't want that for my  buyers.
The reason for the fast pay, fast ship is that eggs are time sensitive and I want you to receive the freshest eggs possible. If for any reason the eggs can not be shipped within a couple of days you will be given the option of a full refund.
SORRY BUT WE CAN NOT SHIP TO HAWAII OR ALASKA.
Feedback will not be giving until feedback is received.  Feedback should be left upon item arrival.
Feedback should never be left on the basis of a hatch, as I can not and do not guarantee hatch rates.
IF FOR ANY REASON YOU CAN NOT ACCEPT THESE TERMS, THEN PLEASE DON'T BID.
Thank you for looking and happy bidding.
