This listing is for a Vintage Antique 10K Gold and Enamel Medal from the Women's Fraternal Organization 'Degree of Pocahontas'
This organization was founded in Elmira, NY c1885 as the Female Affiliate of the Improved Order of Red Men.
The mottos of the Degree of Pocahontas are Freedom, Friendship and Charity.
This item was recently purchased from an estate.

MATERIAL:
10K Gold, Enamel
*The straight pin, catch and hinge as well as the Jump ring are all NOT Gold, they are base metal.
The case is leather with a velvet lining inside.
SIGNED:
the front of this item is marked DofP Freedom Friendship Charity
The back is marked 10K (for 10K Gold) with a makers mark.
DIMENSIONS:
The pin measures about 1 9/16" x tall at the largest points.
The case is about 3"x 2 1/8" or so.

No gemstones, this item is detailed with enamel

the pin weighs a total of 3.6 grams
CONDITION:
The enamel is in good condition.
The Gold has some small dings, dimples, nicks, scratches, scuffs, wear and imperfections in some areas.
The gold has patina, tarnish and discoloration in areas as well and could use a cleaning/touch up polish in areas (if desired).

The leather case has scuffs, scratches, wear, and signs of age.
