Fabulous
RARE EGG CUP SERVER w 4 CUPS
and DOG FINIAL HANDLE

Dog looks to be a Grey Hound or other hunting type dog
Approx 8 1/2" tall - Sits about 1 1/2" off the table surface on 4 decorated feet
Cups are held in place by attached bases
Surface of tray has a woven basket texture
Each scalloped rim cup is 2 1/2" tall x 1 3/4" dia
There are 4 slots intended to hold spoons which are not present
One egg cup (shown) has discoloration at the bottom probably due to egg stain
Markings on base appear as
MFD & Plated
Reed & Barton

There is no date symbol - I have found other figural tableware pieces by Reed & Barton with the same marking attributed to the approximate year of 1884
The last time I saw one of these was over 10 years ago
Truly a wonderful piece of American Silversmithing
Great vintage condition, Age appropriate markings from past use but are very minimal!
I have not attempted to clean this piece as sometimes the patina is part of the value
Sits nice & flat to surface
No pits, pings or waves - Faint usage marks
Highly recommended to use non-scratching serving utensils as these do not have liners
