The Bird-X Balcony Gard repels a wide variety of unwanted bird pests from small areas such as balconies, patios, decks, porches, garages, and other areas around your home using quiet ultrasonic sound. Effective in repelling pigeons, crows, sparrows, starlings, seagulls, grackles, cormorants, vultures, and more. Also effective at repelling rodents.
The Balcony Gard utilizes ultrasonic sound waves to efficiently and effectively frighten, annoy, and intimidate birds and other wildlife within its 900 sq. ft. range. Birds don't like this at all and will stay away. Ultrasonic means that it is virtually "silent to humans", so you can effectively get rid of birds while maintaining a comfortable, enjoyable, bird-free environment for yourself.
The Balcony Gard easily mounts to a variety of surfaces using the keyhole slots in the back of the unit with the mounting screws provided. Power is provided either through the AC adapter with 50-foot cord included or it can be powered by 4 C-cell batteries (not included) for use in areas away from electrical outlets. The housing is durable and weatherproof. Instruction manual is included.
The Balcony Gard uses an infrared motion sensor to detect bird movement, so it conserves battery life by only operating when movement is detected. The sensitivity of the motion sensor can be adjusted between 35 and 70 feet. The user can set the sound frequency using a dial on the back of the transmitter between 15 and 25 KHz to find the setting that works best for your particular pest. The sound produced is harmless to humans, pets, and birds.
The Balcony Gard has been proven to be an effective deterrent to a wide variety of bird pests frequently encountered in urban and suburban areas where many other wildlife control measures are not feasible. It is a great way to keep areas around your home free of the messy things birds leave behind so you and your guests can enjoy your home.
