1900s Colonial George Washington Fraternal Lodge Costume Louis Stilz American Revolution POS Of A. Original circa early 1900s-1920s Colonial era American Revolution era costume. This was made by the Louis Stilz Co which made a lot of fraternal/ military clothing. This was made for the P.O.S. Of A. Patriotic Order Sons of America. Coat, pants, and vest, and includes an extra vest and pants. Made of a velvet type material. There is at least one button missing on the front of the coat, and one on the back. 2 of the coats buttons are held on with safety pins. There are no moth holes that I saw- this was kept in a cedar chest for decades. Coat originally had nice fancy fringes at the ends of the sleeves but these are gone. One epaulette is loose/ missing some stitching to attach it to the coat, the other is totally separated from it. I didnt see any tears or anything and pretty much its in good condition. The pants and vests show some wear/ staining. Does have a little bit of a musty/ cedar smell but not bad. Coat is about 36” long. Shoulder to shoulder is about 18” wide. Armpit to armpit is about the same. These are approx. measurements. Comes as seen, free shipping.
