Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) advertising watch fob

Description

This is a nice example of a Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) advertising watch fob that was issued for the Detroit, MI convention Aug. 3-8, 1891.
One side is GAR and the obverse is advertising for the Mabley & Co. Department Stores which were located in Detroit.
The fob is in good overall condition and measures approximately 1 15/16” in diameter including the bale.
It looks like someone LIGHTLY cleaned the surface to make it more legible. There are no severe nicks or deep scratches, just patina.
It weighs approximately 1.12 oz.
