Mile Marker 0 Key West Real DOT Aluminum Road Sign
Not a Cheap Reproduction
This is a real DOT highway sign on thick (.080) gauge aluminum. It has white 3M High Intensity Prismatic reflective sheeting and Green EC Film over that. It has pre-punched mounting holes in the aluminum, but the holes in the reflective sheeting on the face have not been punched out, which is easily done with an exacto type knife, if you want the holes to show. The sign is 10" x 18".
Here comes the small print. These signs are made for construction purposes and not Art. They are made by applying the reflective sheeting to the aluminum and then the vinyl or ec film is laid over the top of that. They can and probably will have small blemishes, these are to be expected. These are not screen printed like the cute little tin signs you see in tourist traps, these are the real deal. This is exactly what I sell to DOT contractors everyday. Most blemishes are only visible when you hold the sign up close and not when it's displayed.
