Sharpeners that have their blades retained by tamper-proof screws are ideal for school kids, whilst electrical sharpeners that can handle a variety of different pencil diameters are a boon to busy teachers. We even have a fully automatic, hands-free sharpener that takes the hard work out of sharpening lots of pencils.
Artists who use specialist pencils are pleased to see that we test all our mechanical and electrical sharpeners on a range of these pencils – and publish the results, taking the guesswork out of choosing the right machine.
The Swordfish Scribbler is the ideal Battery-Powered Pencil Sharpener.
The battery operated sharpener has a standard sharp blade, fitted inside a high-quality, compact plastic chamber.
The Swordfish Sharpener has been designed with you in mind – both easy to use and very fast, the Scribbler sharpens a standard 8mm diameter in an impressive 4 seconds.
With several handy safety features, the Scribbler includes an auto on/off function, automatically sharpens your pencil when inserted and powers down when not in operation. The sharpener also automatically cuts power when the high capacity shavings tray is removed, for added safety.
The sharpener provides excellent results with graphite, charcoal and crayon, as well as standard HB pencils. The sturdy plastic shavings tray holds up to seven pencils worth of shavings before it requires emptying.
The compact size makes the sharpener portable and ideal for use in the home, school and office.
