For your consideration is this vintage Steiff  Stuffed Animal Deer, made in Germany.
Our Mother bought this large Steiff Deer in the 1970's at the Marshall Field's Toy Department in Chicago.  She displayed it with her Christmas decorations.  The retention of its warm color tones is due to it being box stored for much of the time.
This deer's measurements are 8 1/2" tall, 16" long, and 8 1/2" wide.  Please note that while the Steiff yellow ear tag was removed, as it was distracting :), the button is present (Photo 6).
The high cost of shipping is due to all carriers switching to "Dimensional Weight."  Shipping cost is no longer determined by weight but also by box size.  Any box larger than 12" (h x w) receives a shipping cost penalty.  This box weighs 2 lbs., 12 oz., and its size is 10" D x 19" L x 12" W.  There are no additional charges added.
