Vintage Gates V-Belt hanger with embossed metal Gates sign.
The hanger is 36" long, made of soft wood with metal hooks suitable for holding hats and coats. It has 2-grooves running its length that will hold paper labels, or your cave or business name.
When the dozen or so hangers were removed when the garage was sold in the late 1980's, Dad installed one in his home work shop, I got one, as did several uncles and cousins, and we all concur they make outstanding coat racks!
I am explicit regarding their age, Gates supplied them in 1963 when my parents bought the combination Garage/Hardware Store, a real museum, the garage opened in 1927, the hardware in the late 1800's.
